| The YOUNGlings had a great trip to Florida! | ||
Upon winning first place in the state competition, Young Elementary’s novice FIRST Lego League (FLL) Robotics team qualified to advance to the World Championship in Florida in May. Dubbed a “unique sport of the mind,” FIRST® Robotics teams engage and challenge students ages 6-18 in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

![]() Thank you PTA for all of the trees that were added to our campus this year, and thank you to our students who are working together to keep them watered. Kindergarten – Willow Oak – located at the end of K-1 hallway 1st – Black Gum – playground just outside rooms 205 and 206
2nd – Northern Red Oak – to the north of K tree 3rd – Legacy Sugar Maple – to the south of K tree
4th – Swamp White Oak – closest to bridge
5th – Black Gum – playground with bench around it
4th/5th – Tulip Poplar – border of Butterfly Garden
